Mariel Hemingway Digs Deep Into Family Tragedy in OWN's Running From Crazy

There’s good crazy and there’s bad crazy, and Mariel Hemingway knows all about both. The Oscar-nominated actress and granddaughter of literary giant Ernest Hemingway is the subject of Running From Crazy, the acclaimed Sundance Film Festival documentary that is having its world TV premiere on OWN this Sunday, April 27, at 9/8c. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Barbara Kopple (Harlan County, USA) and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, the doc chronicles the wild, tempestuous and consistently tragic life of the Hemingways, a clan wracked by mental illness, substance abuse and seven suicides. Mariel, who is determined to break the cycle of madness for the sake of her daughters, spoke about the film with TV Guide Magazine.
