Hillary Clinton got into heated arguments Wednesday while testifying before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee about the administration’s response to the September attacks in Benghazi.
On Sept. 12, 2012, the American diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya was hit by an armed group that killed four people, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. An investigation into the identity of the attackers and how the U.S. government handled the aftermath is still ongoing.
On Wednesday morning, Wisconsin senator Ron Johnson stated, “We were misled that there were supposedly protests and then something sprang out of that. That was easily ascertained that that was not the fact, and the American people could have known that within days.”
