It’s shocking that it’s taken so long for Stephen Chbosky‘s 1999 novel to hit the big screen, but that day is finally here! Perks of Being a Wallflower was released Friday.
Set in a 1991 Pittsburgh suburb, the coming-of-age story focuses on Charlie (Logan Lerman), a shy high school freshman struggling to fit in while hiding a secret from his past. Seniors Sam (Emma Watson) and her gay stepbrother Patrick (Ezra Miller) take the young outcast under their wings and help him find his place.
