Overview
This 11-year-old show had great international appeal, which many put down to its unique selling point: bodies.
The show featured a group of lifeguards and their attractive friends having adventures on the beach in Malibu (and later Hawaii).
Although the show struggled early on, when star David Hasselhoff, took an interest its fortunes revived and it sold worldwide.
The show made household names of Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, Carmen Electra and Yasmine Bleeth to name a few.
